Questions carriers actually ask
If yours is not here, call the dispatch line and ask it directly.
How much is the dispatch fee?
The dispatch fee varies by equipment type — a reefer and a hotshot do not take the same work to keep loaded. Contact us for a quote based on your truck and we will give you the number before you commit to anything. There are no separate charges for paperwork, claims or broker setup on top of it.
Am I locked into a contract?
No long-term contract. We would rather keep you because the loads are good than because you cannot leave. If you decide it is not working, tell us and we will finish out the loads already booked so nobody is left with a broken commitment.
What documents do I need to get started?
Your MC authority, a current certificate of insurance, a signed W-9 and a voided check. Send those over and we can usually have your carrier packets out to brokers the same day.
How does leasing your MC authority work?
You operate under our authority while yours is pending or while you decide whether to carry your own compliance load. Before anything is signed we walk you through what stays your responsibility, how settlements are calculated, and how you exit cleanly when your own authority comes through. See the Lease & rentals page for the questions worth asking us.
Do you actually chase detention and TONU?
Yes, and it is included. Detention starts accruing at the agreed free time, and we document arrival and departure so the claim holds up. Layover pay and TONU are handled the same way. Recovered money is yours in full — we do not take a percentage of accessorial pay.
When do I get paid?
That depends on the broker's terms and whether you factor your invoices. We check broker credit before booking so you are not chasing a payer with a bad record, and if you factor, we can prepare and submit the paperwork so nothing stalls on our end. We do not hold your money at any point.
Will I see the rate before the load is booked?
Always. You approve the rate confirmation before we confirm anything with the broker. No load gets booked on your truck without your say-so.
What equipment do you dispatch?
All of it — dry van, reefer, flatbed, step deck, power only, box truck, hotshot, car hauler, Conestoga and RGN/lowboy. The equipment page covers what we watch on each type.
Will you text me?
Only if you provide your number and consent to it, and only for business messages about your loads — confirmations, appointment changes, status updates. You can reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Full detail is on our SMS Consent page.
